Boost for early morning commuters

November 14, 2006 12:55 PM

Following a meeting between MP Vincent Cable and Stewart Palmer the managing director of SW Trains, it has been confirmed that a new early morning, semi-fast, train will be introduced at the end of next year (stopping at Whitton, Twickenham and Richmond) arriving in Waterloo at 0619. There is currently only a train 40 minutes earlier and another 20 minutes later and the aim is to spread the early morning rush, reducing over crowding.

Vincent Cable said: "we will not get much by way of improved services in the next few years; but this is a genuinely positive step which will help the early morning City commuters who need to get to work by 7am".
