Twickenham MP, Vince Cable has moved to reassure local residents that the King Street Post Office is still very much open for business after Costcutter, who shared the premises, moved out.
Vince Cable said:
"The King Street Post Office is greatly valued by local residents and there has been some concern locally about its future after the departure of Costcutter. I have spoken with Post Office Minister, Ed Davey and have been assured that the Post Office will remain open for business.
The Post Office are looking for new premises, but they have a commercial arrangement to remain on the present site until 31st March. I have also been assured that Post Office services will continue uninterrupted during any move."
