MP Warns Builders over Credit Crunch

11.31.00am BST (GMT +0100) Mon 29th Mar 2010

MP Vince Cable spoke on Friday to a conference of over fifty roofing contractors at the RFU in Twickenham. They were from all over the South East and several local construction companies attended.

Vince Cable said:

"The construction industry has been hit harder than any other by the crisis. House building, private and social, has been badly hit. Just as companies are beginning to get off the floor they are being knocked down again by the banks. The feeling at the meeting was strong and virtually unanimous."
